#24hrsofreading wrap up!

Hey guys!

So I have finished my 24 hours of reading and I am really happy with how it turned out, I know it didn’t go exactly as planned but really a tbr change isn’t that bad.

Over the last 24 hours I have completed 4 books and I have genuinely loved all of them. None of the books I have devoured got less that 4 stars and that made this experience so much better.

I started off quickly, finishing The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, the first book in the Raven Quartet. I read 250 pages of this and loved it. I will definitely be continuing on with this series!

Next I read The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken, this was a wonderful middle-grade novel that I will definitely be reading to the kids soon. It was fast paced and hilarious. I completed the 317 pages before the 6th hour and I loved it.

Next I devoured A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, the first book in the Shades of Magic Trilogy. Although it did take me 6 hours to read this, I loved it. I have added the rest of the series on my to-buy list and I plan on getting to them early in the new year!

And finally I slowly read Goddess of the Sea by PC Cast, I did read 35 pages of A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin, however I found myself lagging and some of PC Cast’s fast paced and women empowering writing was what I needed to push myself. I did get some sleep but after this I got on with a few chores around the house and took my time finishing my fourth book.

Now I did finish Goddess of the Sea with an hour to spare, however the list of things I need to get done today is growing (since I really didn’t get anything done yesterday!). I am really pleased with 4 books in 24 hours and I do plan on doing another one before the end of the year to try and bump up my read-books for the year.

Thank you to everyone who stuck with me through this experience! I have enjoyed it and I cannot wait until the next one. Let me know what you are currently reading in the comments below and watch out for the review of these four delights coming very soon!

Helen
