#24hrsofreading 12 hour check-in!

Hey guys,

Another quick check-in as we reach the mid-point of this 24 hour read-a-thon. I am super pleased with my progress so far and although I know I will start slowing down, I am really okay with that.

So far I have completed 3 books!

I read the final 250 pages of The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater, this went by really quick and I loved it. So much so that during one of my 5-minute breaks I ordered the next book in the series!

Then I finished The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken, I read the last 317 pages; finishing just before the 6 hour mark. Again I loved this book and plan on continuing with this series when the future books are released,  I cannot wait to write my full review on this!

Finally I have completely read A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, the first book in the Shades of London Trilogy. This book has taken the entirety of the last 6 hours to read, I did take 45 minutes to cook food, and then another 15 a little later one when I dropped and smashed a plate. I did really enjoy the story in this, not to the level that I have heard people’s love for this but I do intend on continuing with the series because I am really curious to see where this leads. My copy of this was 368 page.

So far, this means I have completed 935 pages, meaning I have pretty much completed my 1000 page goal!

As I couldn’t decide which book to pick up next from my two epic fantasies, I let a coin decide and it landed heads for A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow by George R.R. Martin. This is the largest of the two books but I am hoping that with the slightly shorter chapters I will fly through it. I plan on getting 200 – 250 pages read of this before swapping over to The Way of Kings Part Two by Brandon Sanderson.

Wish me luck guys!
